Cat Progress

I’m still working on this cat. It’s pretty weird looking but I am getting kind of attached to it.

This thing has a lot of paths. It’s vectorized, which is what I do with everything.
To look at it, it would just seem like a bitmap but it’s not. The first thing I do with a drawing is vectorize it. It requires a lot of paths but I got a new laptop with a RTX 3050 GPU specifically for this cat and it seems to be able to handle it. It was crashing here and there, nothing major, but I upgraded it to 32 gig RAM.
Serious tongue action on that thing. I darkened it.
I think it looks as furry as I wanted. Not that that will show much on the sticker.
The original drawing had shading outside the dark edge. I decided I didn’t like that. Having the image vectorized makes getting rid of that pretty simple and accurate. Time-consuming, but accurate. And I don’t care if it takes a long time. I was just listening to a little Modest Mouse anyway. Long Drive album.
I just put it on red to make it easier to see what I’m doing. The sticker will be black and white. Well, grayscale.
Now that the cat is vectorized and isolated I’m going to work on something to put behind him. I made this sketch of some upholstery. Maybe I will draw something like that. I got a little system down.
