Poking Abandoned Intestines With a Sharp Stick

There were intestines in the desert. And other organs also. Was it a gift? A crude attempt at intimidation? A prank? A failed power play of some sort? A random coincidence?

I don’t know any of that. But as a man of science I mostly just wanted to know if they would pop when I poked them with a sharp stick.

First I needed a sharp stick. I broke one off of this dead bush.

I put a piece of cactus on the end to increase its pokeyness.

My stick was long enough to keep me from getting blasted if this thing blew. I probably could have parked further away from it.

I used that stick to poke the intestines.

What follows is a video of me poking the intestines with a sharp stick. I don’t recommend watching it. It’s not that exciting and it might put you off your feed.
