This is a pretty decent egg. It was a good, easy peel. It was by no means the perfect peel. The perfect peel is when one can get the entire shell off in a single piece. That is not easy to pull off. Literally. I’ve done it though.
This isn’t a perfect peel but the whole batch peels easily and the doneness is perfect. It couldn’t be better. There’s no dark ring around the yolk at all and yet the egg is perfectly cooked.
I don’t think I’ve ever seen an egg cut that way before… lol. Also, looks like someone should work at Einstein’s Bagels.. ?
I would probably gain 75 pounds if I worked at Enistein’s and I’d probably be ok with it. I’d drink free vanilla hazelnut coffee until my heart exploded. I was talking to a guy I know recently who works at Einstein’s and he said that at his peak he was having about six large cups of coffee and the beginning of his early morning shift. He cut down though.
On an unrelated note, I should mention that these particular bagels in the picture were made by my favorite bagel place in Tucson owned by a really nice guy named Michael. These are the most premium bagels in all of Tucson, in my opinion. They come from The Bagel Joint on Oracle Road.
Oh, and regarding the slice job. I do that with this awesome egg slicer. I don’t usually like kitchen gadgets that only do one thing that I could also do with a knife, but this egg slicer is great. I use it almost every day.
Well that’s quite interesting. But also crazy. I could never drink that much coffee. I literally would think im dying. Haha. But as for your egg slicer, pretty neat!
Two large Einstein Brothers coffees are enough to give me a full-blown anxiety attack. However, 1.93 large Einstein Brothers is about what it takes to get me ready for a busy weekend morning.
